However, unlike the vast majority of us who sulk in our cars and rant at the government, a Brazilian man faced with the same problem actually did something about it.
Ricardo Azevedo is a mechanic living in Sao Paolo, Brazil who used his technical knowledge and some help from his son’s chemistry book to build a water-powered motorcycle. Under some circumstances, Ricardo can get 500 km out of a litre of water-based fuel. It’s safe for the environment, but the highly flammable hydrogen gas is a dangerous issue that needs to be addressed for the market.
