He Was Upset About Gas Prices, So He Invented A Water-Powered Bike

While the times are good for us right now thanks to oil pouring forth from the wells of Arabia, it’s safe to say that all of us have gone through times where gas prices were through the roof and we hated every bit of it. However, unlike the vast majority of us who sulk in our cars and rant at the government, a Brazilian man faced with the same problem actually did something about it.

Ricardo Azevedo is a mechanic living in Sao Paolo, Brazil who used his technical knowledge and some help from his son’s chemistry book to build a water-powered motorcycle. Under some circumstances, Ricardo can get 500 km out of a litre of water-based fuel. It’s safe for the environment, but the highly flammable hydrogen gas is a dangerous issue that needs to be addressed for the market.
