Teen Recreates American Flag Out Of More Than 4,000 Toy Soldiers

Bunker Hill is a pretty small town in Miami County, Indiana, but they are big on patriotism. The American flag has been featured in numerous works of art and photographs, especially at this high school where the red white and blue are more than just school colors.

Maconaquah High School senior Jacob Feazel is 17 years old, and bleeds American. For his art project, he embarked on a daunting project to recreate the Star Spangled Banner using 4,466 toy soldiers, with each of them being individually spray painted before being glued onto a wooden platform. By his own estimates, it took him 11 days, 56 hours, and 20 to 30 cans of spray paint.
